The government has announced a relief of Rs 10,000 to citizens who have been unable to book a flight due to cancelled bookings. There have been many instances where people have been unable to book a flight ticket due to cancellations. This means they have failed to show up for their flight. These cancellations have led to massive inconvenience to the passengers who were unable to make alternative plans. This has been the main reason why the government has announced this relief.
The government has given a relief of Rs 10,000 to citizens who have booked a flight ticket but failed to show up at the airport. To avail this, one must file a claim within two months of the cancellation and submit their claim form along with an ID proof. One can also upload their documents online. One should note that this does not mean that you will get your money back when you fail to show up for your flight.
It only means that if the airline cancels your flight and you don’t have enough time to make alternative plans, you will receive Rs 10,000 as relief from the Government of India. To avail this relief, one must file a claim within two months of the cancellation and submit their claim form along with an ID proof such as driving license or voter ID card. One can also upload their documents online. The claims will be processed after the deadline for submission is over.
