We’re just a week into the new year and already there are some new flight routes being announced. With the holiday season being an especially busy time for airlines, most have opted to keep their plans under wraps until they launch in full. Singapore Airlines announced that it will now fly between New York City and Singapore daily. The airline previously had flights between the two cities on certain days of the week, with the exact schedule depending on demand. The new route will begin on January 18th with a nonstop book flight tickets. The addition of this route is part of Singapore Airlines’ global expansion strategy. While Singapore currently has 60 destinations worldwide, the airline is planning to grow to 100 destinations by the end. This expansion is part of Singapore Airlines’ vision of becoming one of the world’s leading airlines.
Delta is launching nonstop flights between New York City and Beijing, starting on January 24th. Delta previously had flights between the two cities, but this new route will be a nonstop flight. Delta’s new flight will take off from New York City’s JFK Airport at 7:20 AM and land in Beijing at 5:00 PM. Back in October, Delta announced that it would be ending service to Beijing.
The decision came after Delta’s Beijing-based Beijing Sky Office was sold in September. The addition of Delta’s new route will bring the total number of nonstop flights to Beijing to six. This is a big win for Delta, as Beijing is the capital of the world’s largest aviation market. Chinese travelers make up a large portion of the 50 million passengers Delta Air Lines travels to and from every year. Delta’s new route will help the airline boost its already strong presence in China.
American Airlines announced that it will launch daily nonstop flights between San Francisco and Moscow. AA’s new route will start on January 25th and depart Moscow at 8:30 AM and arrive in San Francisco at 6:00 PM. Meanwhile, American Airlines will be launching daily nonstop flights between Chicago and Rio de Janeiro. AA’s new route will start on January 24th and depart Rio de Janeiro at 9:00 AM and arrive in Chicago at 3:00 PM. American Airlines will also be launching daily nonstop Book flights Tickets deals between Denver and Osaka. AA’s new route will start on January 24th and depart Osaka at 11:00 AM and arrive in Denver at 5:00 PM. These new routes are a big win for AA, as they give the airline another opportunity to expand its already strong presence in the South American and Asian markets.
Finnair announced that it will start nonstop flights from Helsinki to Newark, Berlin, and London. Finnair’s new service between Helsinki and New York City will begin on January 31st and arrive at John F. Kennedy International Airport at 10:20 AM.
Norwegian Airlines announced that it will start nonstop service from Dublin to New York City. Norwegian Airlines will become the fourth airline that flies between Dublin and New York City. Previously, Aer Lingus, Delta, and United had services between the two cities.
